Mostly Halloweenie related stuff, either by content or by song title. Hope ya'll enjoy.

Happy Halloweenie Times

Not the best Halloween I could have hoped for, but still it was alright.

For those of you not in the know, my grandmom passed away last thursday evening and we ended up having to burry her on Halloween day. It wasn't great, to say the least, and because I threw out my back, I had to not be a pallbearer. It sucked.

She was a great lady, one of the best women I'll ever have the pleasure of knowing. I'm glad she went peacefully, and I know she's not in any pain anymore. As cliched as that sounds, its the truth.

I wasn't sure if I was going to post this, being as its far from my normal tone, but I felt like I should, so I did.

Hatredcopter

Gooood pre-afternoon everybody.

Well, I finally decided to start updating this thing regularly. I'm slowly getting things ready to go for an online show me and Bern have been planning on for a long time now. All I've got to do is convince him to open his own blog on here, and create one for the show.

As of right now, its pretty much just going to be the two of us geeking out for about an hour or two an episode, with special guests such as "Angry" Greg, Blockbuster Mary, and whomever else we can convince. I'm even thinking of having my dad come on the show to just yell at the two of us about how retarded we are. I think it'd be funny radio.

Right now, I've been obsessing with Supernatural, I never watched the show, but since Mary started at Blockbuster, she decided to rent the first disc and after watching it, I enjoy it alot. Reaper is also another show I'm highly into right now, considering my favorite shows, Doctor Who and Torchwood, are on hiatus at the moment, these other shows are filling my television void for the time being.

Also, the Howard the Duck mini-series from Marvel comics is fan-fucking tastic. I love a book that can make me laugh, and this one definately does.

Speaking of things making you laugh, Jim Norton's "Happy Endings" book is incredibly funny. So was his HBO special "Monster Rain". Of course, you have to be kind of morbid and not-easily offended to like this guy's material. But, if you can stomach it, its worth the cringe-inducing laughs.

Alright, for now, I'm out.

Psycho Killer

By the way, I'd forgotten how great the Talking Heads were..and they still are. Better recognize, bitch.

Anyways, myself and Gregory traversed from our little town and headed down to Cherry Hill, NJ this passed saturday. We attended the illustrious Monster Mania convention..got pictures with b-movie stars, bought weird toys(I got me the Sean of The Dead two pack with Ed and Shaun), saw a great movie(Behind The Mask, which I also scooped up), and generally had a great time. The convention was f'n great..Bill Mosely is one nice guy, figured I should mention that.

I had a great time meeting people, hanging with my buddy Greg, and gorging ourselves at the Old Country Buffet. My stomach hurt so much after that.

Then, sunday evening, Greg, Bern, Joey, Josh, and my sister were all here for the Summerslam PPV. We watched American Psycho beforehand, not a great movie for Josh to be watching, considering he's just now entering High School..but meh.

Just finished watching "The Bride of the Monster" by Ed Wood..it was experiment 423 in the Mystery Science Theater series and hilarious as would be expected.

Now..I plan on the crashing.

Peace.

Finally, a new post.

Well, my first official entry on the new site. :) Let us begin then, shall we?

Firstly, I've been listening to alot of new music lately. Not that I wouldn't listen to it in the first place, but I'm a music snob, and listening to something new usually results in me listening to it twice and throwing it in the back bin.

So, first new cd that I've been listening to alot lately is Twiztid's "Independent's Day." Now, I've always been a Twiztid fan because..well because they're pretty damned good at what they do. This album is kind of a theme album, in that almost every track has a guest appearance by an independent artist. Normally, I don't like the people who guest on Twiztid's stuff..but this time about, they actually fit in to the theme or mood of the song..so woot! on that. Favorite tracks are: Welcome Home(Twiztid only), How I Live(Feat. Proof), and Weak Shitz Out(Feat. Hed-PE).

Another newer cd I've been jamming to is: "Artificial Hallucination" by Schwarz Stein. Despite the German sounding name, its actually a two man Japanese band. Crazily good sounding technoish kind of industrial weirdness. Of course, I understand very little of it as my Japanese sucks and is based purely on what English words they happen to say, or the little bit I've picked up from watching anime for almost 12 years. Anyhow, its still great stuff. If anything, it provides an excellent soundtrack for late night fragging and showers. :)

Music stuff aside now, I'll jump into the geeky stuff I've been up to. Just finished up watching through the Genshiken anime again..and I still can't believe how many conversations I've had in my life wind up being in that show. If you're not aware, its all about this school club that revolves around everything geeky: ie. Anime, Video Games, Cosplay, Model Kits, Manga, etc. And the fact that I've met people that are pretty much the mirror image of the characters frightens me.

I started up playing Viva Pinata again as well..just something about that game gets me hooked on it for a couple weeks at a time. Its definately a game aimed at children..but there's so much going on it, that I can't help but completely enjoy it. I finally got me a Chewnicorn....and I feel just a little sad at having typed that. Also, I've been playing alot of Raw Vs. Smackdown 2007..its a fun game, but I mainly play it because my friend Greg plays it all the time, and we pretty much just have conversations while beating the snot out of other players. We made a tag-team named "The Cypress Hillbillies"...his character is dressed as a hillbilly and mine as a white rapper..hence the gimmick. Yeah, we're sad.

Annnnnd, lets see now. I think I'm pretty much done..save to say that I've been keeping up with comics..and getting more and more disappointed with Brad Meltzer writing Justice League..but on the up note, Robin has just been getting better and better.

Alright..now, I'm going to get running..expect more ranting and raving in the future. Peace.

I Can't Decide

It's not easy having yourself a good time
Greasing up those bets and betters
Watching out they don't four-letter
Fuck and kiss you both at the same time
Smells-like something I've forgotten
Curled up died and now it's rotten
I'm not a gangster tonight
Don't want to be a bad guy
I'm just a loner baby
And now you've gotten in my way
I can't decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It's cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We're going for a ride
It's a bitch convincing people to like you
If I stop now call me a quitter
If lies were cats you'd be a litter
Pleasing everyone isn't like you
Dancing jigs until I'm crippled
Slug ten drinks I won't get pickled
I've got to hand it to you
You've played by all the same rules
It takes the truth to fool me
And now you've made me angry
I can't decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It's cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We're going for a ride
Oh I could throw you in the lake
Or feed you poisoned birthday cake
I wont deny I'm gonna miss you when you're gone
Oh I could bury you alive
But you might crawl out with a knife
And kill me when I'm sleeping
That's whyI can't decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It's cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We're going for a ride

That right there, best pop song ever. If you can believe it, its very upbeat sounding. :)
Anywho, yeah..just trying to figure out the trip and all that. Having some fun.

So..I'm hoping its okay..

Mary and I were planning on getting away for a weekend, just the two of us somewhere out there.

Well, I finally reserved a room..in Baltimore.

Yeah..July 19th through the 22..four day weekend if you will. Those dates are specific, they're for Otakon.

A few months back, I'd asked her if she wanted to goto it, and she'd said yes. But, everyone else pretty much backed out/refused to go. So, yeah..we're going. I should see if Sean and Liz want to go..in fact, I'll call him today and find out.

Really though, I'm hoping she can go. This was kind of spur of the moment, holy-shit-its-almost-time-and-I-really-want-to-go kind of moment.

I'll find out soon enough. :)

West...Catholic?

Yeah..so West Catholic left me a message about an English teaching position.
Only problem is..its downtown..I really hope more schools call, but still, good to know I'm in some kind of demand.

Yeah.. Category: Friends

Yeah..some strange shit went down, and with a few clicks I had to make a new myspace. No explanation is likely to be given unless you ask..sorry just sucked that I had to redo this whole damned thing.

On the up note, I'm doing great and going strong.

The new Twiztid album, Independent's Day, is fucking incredibly good.

More to come..

Labor day my ass.

Yeah..Labor day is truely labor day. I labored my ass off.

Going to watch t.v. read some books for school, then sleep. Yeah, I'm an exciting guy.

Yesterday was fun though, played poker over at Tony's house. There were 7 of us playing at one point: Josh, his girl(whose name eludes me at the moment), Tony, Bern, Larry, Steve, and myself. I won ten bucks..wahoo. And this whole giant discussion broke out about the 5 bowls that chinese restaurant cooks have near the skillets and stuff. We want to know what's in them..we even contemplated going to the closest chinese restaurant and kidnapping someone..all in good fun..Well, time to go shower off the day's crud.

Peace.

Braggadocio

It would be..sunday..yes..yes indeed.

Well, last night was pretty uneventful. Went to the comic store, hung out with Bern, Greg, Rob, Kenny, Ken, Fran, Rich, and Tony(last three work there).

Bern was goodly enough to accompany me down to Bridgetown to drop off some money I owed my ex. I know, I'm a fuckin loser for even giving it to her, as I didn't even borrow it, but whatever. It was owed, it is done, I don't have to see her again. Work today wasn't too bad. I did little work, just stacking shelves onto pallets. Wow..amazing. Got to know the new girl a little more, Jackie made Megan squirm with sexual questions that made even me blush. Poor Dianne got promoted..so she's eternally stuck there for the moment. Jules and I talked for awhile, we both hate that place with a passion..Ace Hardware can suck dees.

Tonight..I shall be going to Tony's to play poker all night. A refreshing change..and since I barely get down to Mayfair..it should be a fun time.

For the moment..I'm just gonna sit here and front the most. Boom.
